David Jochem

David has more than 25 years experience in the financial services sector, specialising in the insurance risk advisory industry.

A strong believer in developing people, enhancing lives and building for the future has been David’s ethos since 1997. Building strong and trusted relationships with his clients and helping them plan for their future is important to David and his team. He strives to provide his clients the best advice for their individual needs, and gives options and choices throughout the process.

David is a Registered Financial Adviser, and with his vast experience of working with self employed, businesses, farming, families and individuals he can ensure the very best quality service and professionalism in the industry.

Michelle Kinilau
Michelle Kinilau has 10 years in banking finance, working predominately in lending services and team management.

She began her career as a customer services officer for ASB in Rotorua and quickly moved in to a personal banking role specialising in home lending, insurances and kiwisaver. In 2015 Michelle and her husband moved to Christchurch so she could take up a management position, working closely with her team to assist clients in excelling with their personal and business finances. After 5 years running her own branch, Michelle made the decision to go back to her passion – being hands on with clients and helping achieve their financial goals.

Michelle loves working with people and genuinely cares about making her customers lives easier, ensuring they are provided with the best products and services for their individual situation.

Not being tied to a particular lender, Michelle takes the stress out of rate and approval shopping for you in order to get you the best deal possible so you can focus on the important things, like finding your perfect home.

Michelle and her husband Dan live in the beautiful city of Christchurch but both have strong family ties in the Bay of Plenty. They have a passion for travel, experiencing new things and spending time with friends and family.

Troy Clayton
Troy has been in the mortgage advisory sector for more than 10 years. He is qualified to give mortgage advice in Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He is passionate about helping his clients achieve their home ownership aspirations and has a catalogue of satisfied clients.

Troy grew up in Central North Island and then began his career in the banking industry with ASB in 2011, initially in branch then commercial banking. He later moved to Sydney where he worked with predominantly medical professionals, overseeing their home lending needs. Troy then moved onto the United Kingdom. He was able to further his career in lending in the UK by joining a brokerage business, dealing with over 136 different lenders. In August 2020 he saw the greener pastures of home and bee-lined back to New Zealand. Troy now resides in Christchurch and travels frequently between there and Timaru.

Troy specialises, but is not limited to, helping those more niche clients such as self-employed, expatriates, medical professionals, and foreign income earners towards achieving their goals. He appreciates that in today’s world everyone’s situation is different, and not everyone fits into the “tick box” mentality of some banks.

Troy’s focus is “Let me do the leg work for you”. He will compare options across virtually all New Zealand lenders and source you the most cost-effective option, tailored to suit your personal needs. Charrissa Paterson

Charrissa has worked in the insurance industry for over 13 years, supporting advisers and their clients with her extensive knowledge of the industry. She is a valuable asset to the team at Insure and is always happy to hear from our clients to help them through the application and claims process. She thoroughly enjoys speaking with clients and helping them in their journey.

Charrissa works closely alongside Elicia in the Office Administration team at Insure, ensuring clients as much as David & Michelle, are supported as much as possible.

In her spare time, Charrissa enjoys relaxing with her family and walking her dog.

Elicia Rolston

Elicia has been with Insure since its earliest days. She has over 8 years experience in the Insurance Industry and works closely alongside Charrissa in the office administration and client support team. As well as helping out clients in any way she can, Elicia also manages the Fire & General Policies and administration.

Elicia loves chatting with clients and takes much pleasure in helping people through the process of applying for and also claiming on their policies should they ever need to.

In her own time, Elicia loves to spend quality time with her friends & family.

Simone Jochem

With over 15 years experience in the banking and finance industry., spending most of this time helping people consolidate debt and get into their own homes!!

However in recent years has taken a step back in her ‘professional roles’ to have and raise her three beautiful boys with David. Whilst doing this she has helped and supported David in the establishment and development of INSURE.

Simone currently manages the accounting side of things for the business, as well as providing ongoing additional support to David, Michelle and the team in the office on a daily basis.
